The ODJ Project is a rock cover band from Modesto, CA with a simple mission: play the songs that defined a generation, and play them right. Formed four years ago, we cover the best of rock and alternative from the 70s through the 2000s — from arena classics to the radio staples you grew up singing along to. We bring the energy, the gear, and the love of the music every single time.

Band Snapshot
The ODJ Project is a Modesto-based rock cover band playing crowd-favorite rock and alternative songs from the 70s through the 2000s. Our lineup features Wes McKinsey and Christopher Smith on guitar/vocals, Randy Ray on bass/vocals, and Gilbert Kutscher on drums.
Performance Format
We offer flexible live sets ranging from 1.5 to 3 hours depending on the event, venue, and audience. We do not currently offer an acoustic format — our focus is a full-band rock show with strong crowd familiarity and steady energy.
Production
We travel with our own full PA system and are completely flexible when working with house sound. That means we can adapt to bars, patios, festivals, private parties, and community events without creating hassle for the venue.
Service Area
We regularly perform in Modesto, Turlock, Manteca, Lodi, Escalon, Tracy, Riverbank, and surrounding Central Valley communities. Travel for the right event can be discussed during booking.
